Day three of the 2008 Alberta Age Group Championships was fast and furious.

Amber Thomas of the Drayton Valley Swim Club broke the National Record in the 400 metres freestyle for women classification S11. Her time of 6:17.79 breaks the mark she held previously.

On the age group side of the meet Natasha Fung of the Olympian Swim Club broke the National Age Group Record in the women¹s 13-14 200.

Her time of 2:16.36 breaks the former record held by Allison Higson of Etobicoke Swimming, who set the mark backin 1987 with a 2:16.79.

On the provincial record side of the equation two more were set. In the 10 & under 100 Freestyle Kyle Folk of the Edmonton Keyano Swim Club broke theprovincial record going 1:05.99. His time also puts him at the top of the TASPower Rankings in Canada.

In the 13-14 men Thomas Jobin of Cascade Swim Club picked up his third record of the weekend breaking the 1988 record set by Curtis Myden. Jobin¹s time of 4:03.66 shaves 2.11 seconds off the old recordset by the Olympic Triple Bronze medalist.
