Swim PEI wins Organization of the year


Jarrod Ballem named Lieutenant Governor Award recipient at Sport P.E.I. banquet

Charlottetown, PEI – It was a great night for swimming at Sport P.E.I.’s Annual Awards banquet held last Wednesday in Charlottetown.

Jarrod Ballem won the Senior Male Athlete of the Year honours and the Lieutenant Governor’s award for his accomplishments in 2007. Jarrod will compete at the World Championships in early May vying for his spot to represent Canada at the Beijing Olympics.

Swim PEI won the Premier’s Organization of the Year Award.

Recipients were nominated for these prestigious awards because they reached their sport’s highest level in 2007 and have maintained their success over their careers.
