Chris Hindmarch-Watson to take on role of Executive Director for The Canadian Swimming Coaches Association

Toronto, ON – The Canadian Swimming Coaches Association (CSCA) announced today the hiring of Chris Hindmarch-Watson as new Executive Director.

Hindmarch-Watson brings over 15 years of comprehensive experience as program director, general manager, event manager and announcer in the sport of swimming to the CSCA. Chris gained valuable management skills at Swim BC as Assistant Program Director from 1998-2002 and Program Director from 2002-2004.

During this time period he also played an important role on the pool deck at the University of Victoria where he was manager of the UVIC swim team from 2000-2003, as well as Vice President of the Varsity Athlete Council in 2003.

He continued to hone his management and leadership skills taking on the Event Manager role at Swimming Canada from 2005-2006 as well as being hired as Business Manager (2004-2006) and General Manager (2006-2008) of UBC Dolphins. Hindmarch-Watson greatly contributed to the success of the 2006 Pan Pacific Swimming Championships and the 2008 CIS Swimming Championships.

The Canadian Swimming Coaches Association is excited to have Chris on board as the new ED. His professionalism, leadership and many skill sets will be invaluable as CSCTA moves forwards in servicing its members in the 2008/09 season and beyond.
