Swimming Canada honours Volunteers during AGM Awards Dinner

Stanhope, PEI – Swimming Canada presented it’s volunteer awards for 2007/08 during the organization’s Annual General meeting Awards dinner in Stanhope PEI. These special recognitions were distributed to volunteers for their outstanding commitment and service to Canadian swimming during the course of the year.

“Canadian swimming is privileged to have a multitude of passionate volunteers that dedicate so much at every level.

Tonight we honour great contributors that have demonstrated the qualities that we strive to instil in our athletes,” said Pierre Lafontaine, CEO and National Coach for Swimming Canada.

“While we thank these great individuals for their achievements, we also acknowledge the great work that is being done across the country and thank all our volunteers for their hard work and dedication during this past year.”

The 2007-08 Swimming Canada volunteer awards recipients are:

Swim PEI, host of this year’s Swimming Canada Annual General Meeting, also presented it’s Volunteer Recognition Awards to Barney Bree, G. McNeil, M. Middleton, J. Hammer.
