Fifteen Manitoba swim records were set at Prairie Winter; fourteen by Manta; twelve of those by 13 -14 Girls. The 200 Medley Relay record is the first ever under 2 minutes by 13 -14 Manitoba Girls. The 200 Breast by Braedan Taylor puts him into early Manitoba swim-of-the-year contention in this his specialty.

Chantal VanLandeghem set new records in 6 individual and 2 relay events. Previously a Fly specialist, Chantal now owns records in Free, Backstroke and the IM. The 50 Free record was the lead leg of the 200 Free Relay, also a record for that event.

Chantal’s 50 and 100 Free records take her past marks set 20 years ago by previous Manitoba and Manta legend Kristin Topham.

Chantal’s 100 Back now has her passing records from 12 years ago by previous Manitoba and Manta legend Kelly Stefanyshyn.

Finally, Chantal’s 50 and 100 Fly records make 4- and 5-peats on the achievement, now far surpassing previous Manitoba and Manta legend Carrie Burgoyne. Her 200 IM record again gets her ahead of Carrie Burgoyne from 1996.

Camille Dixon set 3 individual and 2 relay records at the Prairie Winter Swim Meet. Her 50 and 200 Breast get her past records from 1992 and 1995 by Manitoba greats Shannon Shakespeare and Carrie Burgoyne respectively.
In the 200 Breast Camille swam a personal best and record in preliminaries and then again in evening finals.

Breanne Siwicki is picking up the pace in her already outstanding metric mile specialty. She essentially owned the event in the 11-12 Age Group; as a 13-year old this past October she went out and shaved 2 seconds from a 13-year old record from previous Manitoba and Manta legend Carrie Burgoyne; now six weeks later she comes back and takes the time down by another 46 seconds.

Aaron Chanas-Larue continued his winning ways. His 100 Fly record gets past a 1989 mark by previous Manta Jamie Stevens. That was 5 years before Aaron was born. He also challenged the 800 Free record, by that same Stevens, of that same Manta club, in that same year, 1989.
