The Ice Help The JCI’S Raise Money For a Playground


Cranbrook, BC — The Kootenay ICE Hockey Club is pleased to announce that the green and white sticks from tonight’s game raised over $3,000 for the new playground at Moir Park.

On Saturday, November 5th when the ICE hosted the Red Deer Rebels, the team used green and white sticks during warm up and the first period that were auctioned off in a silent auction. Goaltender Nathan Lieuwen game used stick brought in the most money at $400.

The playground at Moir Park playground project is being put together by the Junior Chamber International – Kootenay and is estimated to cost $75,000.00.
