HITMEN HEADLINES: Calgary (9-9-1-1) continues a four-game home stand Saturday against the Prince Albert Raiders (5-16-1-1). The Hitmen are coming off Sunday’s 6-2 win over the Lethbridge Hurricanes. Rookie Alex Gogolev posted four points (2g 2a) in a first star performance while Trevor Cheek, Victor Rask, Jimmy Bubnick and Danny Gayle each netted one for the Hitmen. Special teams played a key role in the victory as Calgary went 3-5 on the powerplay while killing all three Hurricanes chances. Hitmen netminder Brandon Glover made 29 saves to pick up his third win of the season as Lethbridge outshot the Hitmen 31-29.

VS. PRINCE ALBERT: Saturday is the second of four meetings with the Raiders. The Hitmen lead the season series 1-0 following a 5-2 win in Prince Albert on November 1. Jimmy Bubnick tops the Hitmen with three points in the season series (3g) while Cody Sylvester (1g 1a) and Collin Bowman (2a) both have two. Last season Prince Albert won the season series taking three of four meetings.

MUCH IMPROVED: It took until December 10, or Game 31 for the Hitmen to win their eighth game of the season a year ago. This season’s eighth win came in Game 18.

EAST FEAST: Calgary is 6-2-1-1 against East Division teams including a 5-1-1 record on the road in Saskatchewan.

REGULAR SEASON CAREER WATCH: Jimmy Bubnick needs one assist for 100. Cody Sylvester needs two assists for 50 and is two games away from 200. Brooks Macek is four goals shy of 50.
