Calgary, AB – Collin Bowman, the first star, recorded his first career hat trick as the Calgary Hitmen defeated the Prince Albert Raiders 7-1 Saturday evening at Scotiabank Saddledome.

Bowman put Calgary on the board late in the opening period, recording his first goal as a Hitmen, before netting the game winner in the middle frame. Brady Brassart, Trevor Cheek, Jimmy Bubnick and Spencer Humphries also scored for Calgary who built period leads of 1-0 and 5-1.

Mark McNeill, on a shorthanded effort, was the lone Raider to put one past Brandon Glover who made 26 saves for Calgary.

After allowing 4 goals on 22 shots, Raiders netminder Cole Holowenko was relieved by Eric Williams in the second period. Williams allowed 3 goals and recorded 18 saves for the visitors.

The Hitmen, now 10-9-1-1 on the season, wrap up a four-game home stand Sunday afternoon when they host the Saskatoon Blades for the CrossIron Mills Shoot for the Stars game in support of Habitat for Humanity Calgary. Puck drop is 2:00 p.m. at Scotiabank Saddledome.
