Jack Palmer’s Hat-Trick led the Saanich Braves to a 7-3 win, their sixth in a row, over Peninsula last Friday.
Sidney, BC – Saanich Braves forward Jack Palmer continued his torrid pace against the Peninsula Panthers on Friday by scoring three goals and adding an assist as the Braves won their sixth VIJHL game in a row with a 7-3 win. The Braves who trailed 3-2 after two periods, exploded for five third period goals to keep their win streak alive and stay in third place overall in the VIJHL, just six points now behind the second place Comox Glacier Kings.
In addition to Palmer’s three goals, Sam McMullen scored a pair, both in the big third period. Ty Jones and Shawn McBride also hit the net for the Braves, with Jones also continuing his hot streak by contributing four assists and moving him into sixth place in the VIJHL scoring race.
Tanner McGaw started in net and turned away 21 shots for the win.
Palmer, who scored four goals in last Friday’s Braves win over the Panthers, now sits second in Braves scoring behind Jones, with 12 goals and 12 assists.
