Saskatoon, SK – Jimmy Bubnick scored twice as the Calgary Hitmen beat the Canadian Hockey League’s number four ranked Saskatoon Blades 6-2 Friday night at Credit Union Centre.

The win was Calgary’s third straight on their current four game East Division road trip.

Joey Kornelsen, Brooks Macek, Spencer Humphries and Greg Chase also scored for Calgary who improves to 7-2-1-0 in their last 10 games.

Calder Brooks and Cody Sylvester both had a pair of assists for Calgary while Danny Gayle had a helper to extend his career high point scoring streak to seven games.

Brandon Glover made 34 saves in the Hitmen net and was especially sharp in the first period when Saskatoon outshot Calgary 19-7 but headed to the dressing room after twenty minutes in a 1-1 tie.

The Hitmen blew the game open in the second period building a 4-1 lead thanks to a pair of powerplay goals.

Calgary, 13-10-1-1 on the season, will wrap up their prairie road trip tomorrow night in Prince Albert.

The Hitmen return to Scotiabank Saddledome on Friday, December 2, when they host the Spokane Chiefs. Puck drop is 7:00 p.m. for the Canada Safeway Ltd. Movember game.
