It was a successful weekend for the Claremont Lacrosse Spartans as both the Senior and Junior teams advanced to the championship games of the Spartan Shootout Tournament.
In Junior action, the Claremont Red and Claremont White teams advanced to Saturday’s final with the Red team prevailing by a score of 12-6.
The Red team was led by Connor Leies, Jeff Lane and Hazen Platt who had a pair of goals each, while Shelby Johnson, Adam Golia, Zac Christensen, Guy Cullen, Brad McCulley and Clayton McClure had singles.
The White squad was led by Ress Cullen with the hat-trick, while Nick Preston, Pascal Coombs and Colten Merilainen added singles.
In Senior action, once again two Claremont teams advanced to the final, however tournament organizers decided not to play the Senior Championship game at UVIC in favor of playing the game at a later date on Claremont’s home fields.
