Adam Morrison returned to his old stomping grounds, making 27 saves, to lead the Giants to a 4-1 victory over the Eastern Division leading Saskatoon Blades. Cain Franson chipped in with a pair of goals as the Giants earned their 16th win of the year.

The home team opened the scoring 5:30 into the game as Brett Stovin beat Morrison to give the Blades a 1-0 lead. Morrison was outstanding the rest of the way in the first period making 9 saves including a short handed penalty shot from Josh Nicholls. Vancouver trailed 1-0 through 20 minutes.

The Giants poured it on the second period, firing 19 shots at Andrey Makarov; however, they were only able to beat him once. Cain Franson scored his 8th of the season on a breakaway to tie the game at 1-1 after two periods of play.

The intermission didn’t slow the Giants down, as they continued to press in third period; Jordan Martinook scored for the third straight game, beating Makarov for his 13th goal of the season and giving the Giants their first lead of the game 2-1. Cain Franson gave the Giants a little breathing room with his 2nd of the game with just under 5 minutes remaining to put Vancouver up 3-1. Taylor Makin would add a power play empty netter to make it a 4-1 final. Morrison made 27 saves, while Makarov stopped 39 shots.

The Giants 6 game road trip continues Tuesday November 29 in Moose Jaw, when they make their first ever visit to Mosaic Place to take on the Warriors. Game time is 5:00 pm PST. The pregame show begins at 4:30 pm.
