The Vikes men’s basketball team are currently on a winning streak of eight games as they head into their Christmas break. Last weekend, the Vikes were on the road against Calgary and Lethbridge. Ryan Mackinnon (Comox, B.C.) lead the charge, pacing the Vikes with 15 points in their 75-63 victory over the Dinos and 23 points in the 90-59 win over the Pronghorns.

In week 13 of the CIS Top Ten Polls, the Vikes move to fifth place with 351 points, after being ranked sixth in the CIS last week. The UVic men will look to extend their 8-0 streak following the season break when they host the Saskatchewan Huskies and the Alberta Golden Bears on Jan. 6 and 7, respectively.
