Annual Vikes Cross Country, Track Christmas Tree sale begins Saturday

VICTORIA – The University of Victoria Vikes men’s and women’s cross country and track teams begin their 14th annual Christmas tree sale at Centennial Stadium on Saturday Dec. 3.

The locally grown Christmas trees from the Cowichan Valley will be sold to raise funds to support athlete travel, equipment and scholarships.

One of this year’s goal is to support athletes participating at the World University Cross Country Championships in Poland as well as the North American Cross Country Championships in Trinidad, Tobago.

A variety of trees are available including Grand, Noble and Douglas Fir in a variety of sizes and prices. Look for the Christmas lights at the main entrance to Centennial Stadium, accessible from Parking Lot 4 off McGill Road.
