Knutsen to Play for Norway

Prince Albert SK – The Prince Albert Raiders are proud to announce that 18-year-old forward Jonas Knutsen has been selected to play for his home country of Norway at the Division I Under-20 World Championships in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany from December 11-17.

Knutsen was drafted by the Raiders 15th overall in the 2011 Central Hockey League Import Draft. The Oslo native has scored 5 goals and 4 assists while collecting 36 penalty minutes in 29 games this season. Knutsen previously represented Norway at the World Under-18 Championships, where he scored 4 points in 6 games.

Norway will face off against teams from Germany, Slovenia, Belarus, Austria and Great Britain in the Group A pool of the tournament. Knutsen will depart Monday December 5th to join his team and prepare for the tournament.
