Calgary, AB – Cody Sylvester scored the shootout winner as the Calgary Hitmen beat the Prince Albert Raiders 5-4 Friday night at Scotiabank Saddledome.

Chase Clayton, with his second goal of the season, triggered the Hitmen comeback midway through the second period. Collin Bowman, Brooks Macek and Jimmy Bubnick also scored for Calgary to erase a 3-0 deficit.

The Hitmen held a 4-3 lead until Mark McNeill capitalized on a penalty shot opportunity with just under 13 minutes remaining in regulation to force overtime.

Sylvester chipped in three assists while Clayton, Bubnick, Victor Rask and Spencer Humphries each added a helper for Calgary.

After allowing two goals on four shots, Brandon Glover was relieved by Chris Driedger early in the opening frame. Driedger made 20 saves, plus three in the shootout, to pick up his ninth win of the season.

The Hitmen swept the season series against the Raiders, winning all four games by a combined score of 25-9.

Calgary returns to action Sunday when they host the Brandon Wheat Kings. Game time is 2:00 p.m. at Scotiabank Saddledome.
