Calgary, AB – Brady Brassart scored the game winner with less than two minutes remaining in regulation lifting the Calgary Hitmen to a 4-3 win over the Brandon Wheat Kings Sunday afternoon at Scotiabank Saddledome.

Following a scoreless first period, Alex Gogolev netted his 12th of the season while two went in off the stick of Trevor Cheek, including an unassisted shorthanded goal midway through the third.

Alessio Bertaggio scored two for the visitors while Dominick Favreau netted one in the loss.

Brandon Glover made 22 saves in the Hitmen net, including 12 in the second period, as Calgary outshot the Wheat Kings 41-25 in the victory.

The Hitmen, now 17-13-1-1 on the season, sit seventh in the Eastern Conference with 36 points.

Calgary plays three games this week before a ten day Christmas break, visiting Lethbridge Wednesday, hosting Regina Friday and traveling to Edmonton on Saturday, December 17.

The Friday, December 16 game against the Pats has been pushed back to an 8:00 p.m. start at Scotiabank Saddledome.
