LED Video Screens To Make Debut Tonight

Victoria, BC – The Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre is pleased to announce that the four main LED screens will be operational for tonight’s Western Hockey League game between the Victoria Royals and the Calgary Hitmen. Puck drop is set for 7:05 p.m.

The four operational boards are 18 feet wide by 10 feet high, and will provide replays, interactive crowd programs, vignettes and much more. The four secondary corner screens will not be available for tonight’s game and most likely for this homestand.

“We are very excited to debut the screens tonight,” said Dave Dakers, President of RG Sports & Entertainment and the Victoria Royals. “With the four main LED screens ready we decided to move forward tonight. We are working diligently on finishing the install on the secondary corner screens, but they will not be ready for tonight.

“We expect the main screen to operate properly, but with the limited timeframe for installation and troubleshooting there may be technical issues that arise from time-to-time that we will address as we go.”
