After a long holiday break, the Cariboo Cougars are back on home ice this weekend hosting the Valley West Hawks.

The Cats are looking for a big four points after finishing the 2011 portion of the BCMML season with three straight losses. Cariboo sits in third place in the standings, four behind the league leading Giants and three up on the Hawks.

The holiday break was a busy one for the Cougars who took part in the Mac’s AAA Midget Tournament in Calgary finishing with a 2-2 record, shy of a playoff berth.

The Cougars hit the ice Saturday night at 7:15 in Kin 1 before Sunday’s rematch with the Hawks at 2:00 pm also in Kin 1, NOT the usual 10:00 am start time.
