Victoria, BC – The Victoria Royals are pleased to announce that forwards Steven Hodges and Logan Nelson have both been acknowledged by Central Scouting in their Mid-Term Rankings for the 2012 National Hockey League Entry Draft.

Hodges is ranked 55th among North American skaters. The Delta, B.C. native is in his second full season in the Western Hockey League. The 17-year-old has 18 goals and 21 assists for 39 points over 105 games in the WHL.

Nelson is ranked 108th among North American skaters. The native of Rogers, MN is in his first full WHL season after joining the Royals from the Des Moines Buccaneers of the United States Hockey League. The 18-year-old forward is currently second in WHL rookie scoring with 17 goals and 23 assists for 40 points in 41 games played.

The 2012 National Hockey League Entry Draft takes place on June 22-23 at the Consol Energy Centre in Pittsburgh, PA.

The Royals open up a six game road trip in Regina on Friday January 13th. Game time is 5:00 p.m. PST. The Royals return home on Friday, January 27th when they welcome the Kamloops Blazers to the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre for a two game set.
