Weekend Re-Cap January 27-28, 2012

While the Camosun College Chargers volleyball teams took a bye from PACWEST action this past weekend, their basketball counterparts worked the boards hard at home on Friday and Saturday against the visiting Douglas College Royals and the Columbia Bible Bearcats. Sweeping the weekend with four solid wins (Fri: Women 60-48; Men 84-76 and Sat: Women 93-40; Men 116-102), the Chargers remain in the conference’s Top 6 teams as the push for the PACWEST playoffs begins. With only three weeks of competition remaining in the season, the women are now 6-6 and in fifth place while the men move up a notch in the standings to No. 2 with 9 wins and 3 losses.
