Hodges Named Royals Player of the Month

 (ISN) – The Victoria Royals are pleased to announce that center Steven Hodges has been selected as the Tip Top Tailor-Made Player of the Month for February.

The 17-year-old notched six goals and four assists for 10 points in 13 games played during the month, including his first multi-goal night of the year on February 3rd when he notched two against Spokane.

“Steven had a very productive month of February for us both offensively and defensively,” Head Coach and General Manager Marc Habscheid said. “It is good to see him elevate his game as we move towards the post season.”

A native of Delta, BC, Hodges has recorded 42 points (20G-22A) and 62 penalty minutes in 66 games played this season with Victoria.

The Royals are in action again Wednesday, March 7th as they travel to Everett to take on the Silvertips. Victoria’s next home game is set for Wednesday, March 14th as they open up a two game series against the Portland Winterhawks.
