BCIHL Championships Begin Wednesday: UVic Seeded Fourth

Kamloops (ISN) – The British Columbia Intercollegiate Hockey League (BCIHL) will hold its sixth annual Championship Tournament from March 14-18 at Memorial Arena in Kamloops, BC.  This year’s event is being hosted by Thompson Rivers University and the WolfPack men’s hockey program.

The BCIHL’s top-five teams from regular season play move on to participate at this provincial championship. The seedings for this year’s event are as follows:
1.    Simon Fraser University (Burnaby, BC)
2.    Okanagan College (Kelowna, BC)
3.    Thompson Rivers University (Kamloops, BC)
4.    University of Victoria (Victoria, BC)
5.    Eastern Washington University (Cheney, WA)
Action begins on Wednesday when the University of Victoria and Eastern Washington University meet in the tournament opener at 4:00 PM, followed by an Opening Ceremonies and a match-up between Okanagan College and Thompson Rivers University at 7:00 PM.

Game #1 – Eastern Washington University at University of Victoria – 4:00 PM
Game #2 – Thompson Rivers University at Okanagan College – 7:30 PM

Thursday, March 15:
Game #3 – Game 1 Loser vs. Game 2 Loser – 4:00 PM
Game #4 – Game 1 Winner at Simon Fraser University – 7:30 PM

Friday, March 16:
Game #5 – Game 3 Winner vs. Game 4 Loser – 4:00 PM
Game #6 – Game 2 Winner vs. Game 4 Winner – 7:30 PM

Saturday, March 17:
Game #7 – SEMI-FINAL – Game 5 Winner vs. Game 6 Loser – 7:30 PM

Sunday, March 18:
Game #8 – CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – Game 6 Winner vs. Game 7 Winner – 3:00 PM
