Victoria, BC (ISN) – Teams interested in registering for the 23rd Annual TC10K have less than a week to go before the deadline at midnight on Friday March 23.
Corporate and Sports Teams can register their members for $40, and Island Farms School Teams for $30.
There are 24 team categories ranging from government, education and military to charities, retail and tourism. Teams can run or walk the 10-kilometre route, and must have a minimum of 10 on their team. Teams can also be composed of a mix of 10K and 1.5K participants. Teams who send in their team name or logo by March 23 will also have their shirts screened with their own corporate logo or slogan. “To receive a customized shirt is a great incentive for teams to register by the deadline date, and it becomes a keepsake,” says Race Director Jacqui Sanderson.
Team members make up a large percentage of runners and walkers in the TC10K. “We have 436 teams signed up so far with over 5,000 runners, which shows just how popular the team categories are,” says Sanderson. Individuals can register online until midnight on April 25, and at Race Package Pick-up on April 27 and 28.
The TC10K is Canada’s second largest 10-kilometre race. In 2011, 13,096 registered for the 10-kilometre race and the Thrifty Foods 1.5k Family Run. To register go to www.tc10k.ca. For more information call: 250-744-5538.
