Nanaimo (ISN) – The Nanaimo Sr.B Timbermen are pleased to announce the appointment of new head coach, Mike Maughan.

Mike retired from playing lacrosse after the 2010 season after amassing 281 points in 169 regular season games, played over 12 seasons. Maughan sits in 6th place all-time Sr.B Timbermen scoring, and 2nd place all-time games played, behind current Timbermen player Brad Jones with 204.

The club feels Mike’s experiences at the offensive and defensive ends of the floor over his 12 season career, as well as his familiarity to the Sr.B league will be instrumental as the team gets set to start training camp on April 16th at the Nanaimo Ice Center.

The Timbermen also have a need for qualified athletic first-aid trainer(s) for the upcoming season. For more information please contact Shawn Swanson at shawn.swanson@shaw.ca
