Moose Jaw Tops Pats 5-3

(ISN) – Quinton Howden scored two goals and set up another to lead the visiting Moose Jaw Warriors to a 5-3 victory over the Regina Pats in Game 3 of their Husky WHL Eastern Conference quarter final series on Tuesday.

Joel Edmundson, Kenton Miller and Brayden Point also scored for the Warriors, who opened up a 5-0 lead by the 17:24 mark in the first period. Luke Siemens made 33 saves on 36 shots to record his second straight win.

Lane Scheidl scored twice and Chandler Stephenson also counted for the Pats, who now trail the best-of-seven series 2-1 and give home-ice advantage back to the Warriors. Matt Hewitt made 25 saves in a losing cause.

The Pats host the Warriors for Game 4 of the series on Wednesday night.
