(ISN) – 16-year-old Brayden Point scored 6:14 into double overtime to lift the visiting Moose Jaw Warriors to a 5-4 win over the Regina Pats in Game 4 of their Husky WHL Eastern Conference quarter final series on Wednesday.
Eric Arnold scored twice, including the tying goal on a power play 15:51 into the third period to send the game to overtime, while Justin Kirsch and James Henry also scored for the Warriors, who earn their third straight win of the series and now lead the best-of-seven set 3-1. Luke Siemens made 30 saves to post the victory.
Martin Marincin scored twice, Jordan Weal tallied a goal and an assist and Kyle Burroughs scored his first of the playoffs for the Pats, who allowed three goals on eight Warriors’ power play chances. Matt Hewitt turned in a 47-save effort in the loss.
The Warriors take on the Pats for Game 5 of the series on Friday night in Moose Jaw, SK.
