Warrior Thump Tigers to Take 2-0 Series Lead

(ISN) – Quinton Howden scored two goals and Kendall McFaull chipped in four assists to lead the Moose Jaw Warriors to a 6-1 victory over the Medicine Hat Tigers in Game 2 of their Husky WHL Eastern Conference semi final series on Saturday.

Eric Arnold, Kenton Miller, Justin Kirsch and Cody Beach also scored for the Warriors, who broke open a 2-1 game with four goals in the third period en route to their second straight triumph over the Tigers in the series.  Luke Siemens made 14 saves to claim his sixth straight win.

Hunter Shinkaruk scored the only goal for the Tigers, who were without suspended leading scorer Emerson Etem for the Game 2 loss.  Tyler Bunz made 34 saves in the defeat.

The Tigers host the Warriors for Games 3 and 4 of the series on Tuesday and Wednesday.
