Oil Kings Win 21st in a Row With Another 6-1 win Over Moose Jaw

Laurent Brossoit turned in a 48-save performance as the Edmonton Oil Kings defeated the visiting Moose Jaw Warriors 6-1 in Game 2 of the Husky WHL Eastern Conference Championship series on Sunday.

The win gives the Oil Kings a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series.

Jordan Peddle scored twice and Henrik Samuelsson tallied a goal and an assist while Martin Gernat, Curtis Lazar and Mitch Moroz also counted for the Oil Kings, who win their second straight game over the Warriors by a 6-1 score line and stretch their remarkable winning streak to 21 games going back to the regular season.

Kenton Miller scored the only goal for the Warriors, who outshot the visitors 24-11 in the second period but were outscored 2-1 in the frame.  Luke Siemens made 26 saves in a losing cause for the Warriors.

The Warriors host Games 3 and 4 of the best-of-seven series on Tuesday and Wednesday in Moose Jaw.
