Intermediate and Junior Shamrocks Win on the Road

(ISN) – Both the Intermediate and Junior Shamrock Teams went to the Mainland Sunday and both came away with victories.

The Intermediates were in Maple Ridge to face the expansion Burards and came away with a 10-4 victory. Leading the way for Victoria was Jordan Cunningham with 3 goals. The other goal scorers were Max Fredrickson and Derek McLeod with 2 each. Singles were notched by Jake Cullen, Chris Kasper and Matt Hamilton.

Tanner Hodgson had strong game in net stopping 35 of 39 shots.

That puts the team at 1-1 to begin the season.

The Juniors had a tougher time in Port Coquitlam as they came away with a 10-7 victory.

Leading the way for Victoria was Brody Eastwood with 3 goals and 1 assist. Chris Wardle and Adam Brown had 2 goals and 3 assists each. Shea Wakefield had 2 and 1. Conrad Chapman had 1 and 1.  Mike Berti made his first Jr A start facing 47 shots.

This puts the Rocks at 2 and 0 to start the season.

Next games for both teams are on Saturday.
