(ISN) – Pacific Cycling Centre athletes Nik Vogler and Craig Logan competed in the Tour of Walla Walla last weekend in Washington, producing some impressive results with Vogler finishing eighth in the final GC and Logan 12th.

The four stage race consisted of Waitsburg Road Race, (67.6 km for the women and 103 km for the  men), a Criterium, a 14.97 km time trial and final Stage 4 Kellogg Hollow Road Race (103km/146.45km). Vogler had a great stage one race coming in second. She remained consistent with a 13th placing in the Criterium, ninth in the time trial and fifth in the final road race, deserving her overall GC placing.

Logan was down the field in the early stages of Walla Walla but climbed back to finish eighth in the Kellogg Hollow Road Race, to achieve 12th in the GC.

In other news, Pacific Cycling Centre’s Annie Ewart placed fourth in the Sunny King Criterium last weekend in Anniston, AL. The Victoria native is competing in her first year as a senior for Optum Pro Cycling-Kelly Benefit Strategies.

Voted the Best Overall Junior Female Cyclist for 2011 by Pedal Magazine readers, Ewart has competed this year in the MERCO Cycling Classic, the Delray Grand Prix in Florida and San Dimas, California.
