“We are ecstatic to have chosen Tyler with the 8th overall pick,” Director of Scouting Garry Pochipinski said. “He is an offensively dynamic player who is also not afraid to go into the dirty areas. He possesses leadership skills, and we view him as the total package.”

Chaz Reddekopp

Reddekopp also had seven points (2g-5a) and eight minutes in penalties through nine games for the Pursuit of Excellence Midget Team 3.

“We had Chaz rated as the top defenceman in the draft,” Director of Scouting Garry Pochipinski said, “and to have him still available at 13 was both surprising and great news. He is big and possesses both mobility and an offensive upside. He plays a physical game and he has the potential to be a tremendous defenceman”
