Nine Local Players to Join BC Soccer Provincial Teams Program

Victoria (ISN) – The Vancouver Island Wave is pleased to announce that 9 of its players will represent BC as part of the BC Soccer provincial teams program.

The nine players and their original home clubs are:

  • Sean Pearse-Gordon Head-Saanich Fusion
  • Max Branyik-Gordon Head-Saanich Fusion
  • Dory Blakely-Bays United
  • Liam McManaman-Cordova Bay-Saanich Fusion
  • Ben Avila-Gordon Head-Saanich Fusion
  • Mackenzie Cole-Gorge
  • Josh Cuthbert-Lakehill-Prospect Lake
  • Sophie Weaver-Nanaimo Youth Soccer Club
  • Bryce Marinus- Comox Valley

The Wave would like to congratulate these players and also recognise the efforts of the local clubs and soccer academies that have also played a part in the development of these players.

The Wave is also pleased to announce that two players will be leaving the club to join the Vancouver Whitecaps full time residency program in September. Josh Cuthbert will be joined by his younger brother Elliot formerly of Lakehill and Prospect Lake.
