Saanich, BC (ISN) – Following the completion of their Prospect Camp which was held July 6-8, the Saanich Braves have announced three signings and one trade in preparation for the 2012-2013 season.

The Braves have made commitments to three top prospects, including Nick Guerra and Seamus Maguire out of the Saanich Midget AA program, and to Kevin Massy out of the JDF Midget AA program.

Head Coach Brad Cook said, ”all 3 played affiliate games with the Braves this past season, they are impact players who will be in the Braves line-up for the 2012-2013 season. We look forward to seeing these 3 young prospects in Braves Jerseys this season.”

The Braves also made a trade Monday as Owner/GM Norm Kelly officially announced that the Saanich Junior Braves have acquired the rights to Forward Justin Polischuk and Defenseman Garrett Kemmler from the Oceanside Generals in exchange for Forwards Sheldon Trees and Matt Biagioni.

Head Coach Brad Cook stated, “The Braves organization would like to thank Sheldon and Matt for their hard work and commitment to our organization and wish both of them the best of luck in their future hockey endeavors.”
