Buccaneers Gear Up for Training Camp with Four More Signings

Nanaimo, BC (ISN) – In preparation for their first ever training camp, which will be August 17-19th, the Nanaimo Buccaneers Jr. B Hockey club has announced 4 more additions to the team.

From the Cowichan Valley, Lynden Eddy at 6′, 195 lbs and 17 years of age joins the squad.  Lynden played most of his years in the Cowichan Valley system and most recently with the South Island Thunderbirds. Lynden is a dedicated, focused forward who takes the game very seriously.

Local Nanaimo Minor Hockey Product, Jackson Robinson has agreed to join the Buccaneers. Jackson is 6′ 190 lbs and played last year for the North Island Silvertips. Jackson is a hard working, two way defenseman who can easily step up to fill a forward position when necessary.

Robert Cahill is a local Nanaimo Minor Hockey product who played the last three years in Tri Port. At 5’9, 170 lbs Robert is a fast offensive player.

Travis Briggs is returning to his hometown! Travis spent the last two seasons with the Oceanside Generals and was their third leading scorer in 2011/2012. At 5’10, 175 lbs, Travis brings experience and depth to the Buccaneers.

Buccaneers main training camp is August 17 18 19 at the Nanaimo Ice Centre. Exhibition Games are Friday, August 31st 7:00pm and Sunday, September 2nd at the Nanaimo Ice Centre.
