Victoria, BC (ISN) – The new West Coast Baseball League team for Victoria is set to announce its new GM at a Press Conference on Tuesday at 11:00 am at Royal Athletic Park. Team Co-Owner John McLean and Victoria Mayor Dean Fortin will be in attendance.

The team, originally announced for Victoria in early June, will become one of 11 teams that play in the college-level wood bat summer league, including another newcomer for 2013 in Medford, Oregon.

Other teams in the league include the Cowlitz Black Bears, Bellingham Bulls, Bend Elks, Corvallis Knights, Kitsap Blue Jackets, Wenatchee Apple Socks, Klamath Falls Gems, Walla Walla Sweets and the only other Canadian entry, the Kelowna Falcons.

The team has negotiated a three-year deal with the City to play its 27 home game schedule at Royal Athletic Park. Play will run from June to August. The League prides itself on fun, family entertainment and average ticket prices are expected to be under $10.
