Peninsula Co-Op Women Win Castaways Tournament

Victoria, BC (ISN) – The Peninsula Co-op Women’s team (Metro Women’s Soccer League) won the Castaways tournament in the open division this past weekend.

The team was comprised of 1st team players, Prospects and former Highlanders players. The team finished the tourney with 5 wins and no losses, scoring 17 goals and letting in only 3.

The team entered this tourney in an effort to get some games in prior to the start of the upcoming season in the Metro Women’s Soccer League which begins on September 9th with an away vs. SurDel.

The club will play its home opener on Sunday September 16th at 2pm against Columbus at Bear Mountain Stadium.
