Nanaimo, BC (ISN) – Coaches on Vancouver Island may not want to miss PacificSport Vancouver Island’s 2nd Annual Coaches Breakfast on September 21st. The keynote speaker will be Bob Lenarduzzi, President of the Vancouver Whitecaps. The former professional soccer player has a distinguished international playing and coaching record.
Born in Vancouver, Lenarduzzi began his professional career at the age of 15.
In 1974 he joined the Vancouver Whitecaps when they were part of the North American Soccer League. He holds the record for most games played in the league, with 312.
He went on to coach soccer in Vancouver and was eventually selected to coach the Canadian men’s national team.
Lenarduzzi will give a speech between 7:30am and 8:30am on Friday, September 21, at the Coast Bastion Inn on 11 Bastion Street in Nanaimo. The cost to join the event, which is part of BC Coaches Week, is $25.
