Spokane Crushes Everett 4-0

Kennewick, WA- The Spokane Chiefs (2-1) crushed the Everett Silvertips (2-2) 4-0 in game two of the Red Lion Hotels Pre-Season Tournament.

The lone goal in the first period was scored by Blake Gal to give Spokane a 1-0 lead after one.

Spokane added two more goals in the second period, with the first coming 49 seconds in by Liam Stewart. The Chiefs would add another on a power play goal by Todd Fiddler 5:37 into the second.

Gal scored his second and final goal of the game in the third on a breakaway, beating Everett’s goalie Andy Desautels with a backhand shot to give the Chiefs a 4-0 victory.

Everett struggled offensively, only managing 22 shots compared to Spokane’s 36 shots, including only two in the second period.

Everett plays its final game of the tournament tomorrow, September 8, against the Kootenay Ice at 11 a.m. Spokane will play in the final game of the tournament against the Tri-City Americans tomorrow at 7 p.m.
