Chilliwack, BC (ISN) – After dropping a heart-breaking 1-0 overtime affair to the Coquitlam Express on Friday, the Victoria Grizzlies responded with a 5-4 overtime victory over the Port Alberni Bulldogs on Saturday.

In Friday’s action against Coquitlam, Brady Shaw’s overtime winner gave the Express a 1-0 win over the Victoria Grizzlies in the first game on Prospera Centre’s main rink. Cole Huggins stopped 40 shots for the shutout while Brady Rouleau turned away 26 pucks for the Grizz.

On Saturday, Grizzlies forward Myles Fitzgerald would tie the game in the waning moments of the third period,and then score in overtime to seal a 5-4 win over the Alberni Valley Bulldogs. Lars Hepso’s second of the game gave the ‘Dogs a 4-3 lead with under five minutes to go but Fitzgerald roofed a rebound off the end boards and then was the beneficiary of some good work by brother Gerry on the winner. Victoria takes three of four points on the weekend while Alberni finishes with one point on the weekend.
