Medicine Hat Promotes Kruger to Associate Coach

September 14, 2012, MEDICINE HAT, AB (ISN) – The Medicine Hat Tigers announced this morning that assistant coach Darren Kruger has been named to the position of associate coach.

“I have complete trust and confidence in Darren’s abilities as a coach and his commitment to our hockey team,” states Tigers’ head coach and newly appointed general manager.

“This move recognizes Darren’s contribution to our success and reflects the added responsibilities he now accepts.”

“I appreciate the confidence Shaun and the Tigers organization have shown by providing me with the opportunity to become associate coach of the Medicine Hat Tigers,” said Kruger.

“With the additional responsibilities Shaun has accepted, it is a good feeling he can feel comfortable leaving everyday duties in my and Joey’s hands when he is not available.”

Kruger is entering his eighth season behind the bench with the Tigers.

Assistant coach Joey Frazer begins his third season with the team and rounds out the Tigers’ coaching staff for the 2012-13 season.
