U-23 Pan American Men’s Volleyball Cup to be Streamed Live


September 20, 2012, Langley, BC – With just under a week to go before the opening serve of the inaugural U-23 Pan American Men’s Volleyball Cup, which runs Sept. 25-30, the Langley Events Centre officially announced that all 18 tournament games will be streamed live online via PlayFullScreen at www.langleyeventscentre.com.

The six-day tournament, which will see six teams – including Argentina, Brazil, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Venezuela and Canada, the latter of which will be represented by the Trinity Western men’s volleyball team – compete in a complete round robin format plus a playoff day, will be broadcast live online, with play-by-play and colour commentary, from the arena bowl at the Langley Events Centre. The tournament will feature three games per day, starting at 4 p.m., 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.

The games will be available on a pay-per-view basis.

Prices are $3.49 per game or $14.99 for the entire tournament.

The U-23 Pan American Cup will feature some of the best volleyball-playing countries in the Americas as five of the six attending countries have senior teams currently in the top 25 of the FIVB World Rankings. The event will feature the stars of tomorrow, with many athletes already, or on their way to, representing their countries at the senior level.

About the U-23 Pan American Cup

The U-23 Pan American Cup is a new competition created jointly by the NORCECA (North America, Central America & Caribbean) and the South American Volleyball Confederations, and will feature the top teams from these zones. The event has been developed to provide an additional competitive opportunity for developing national team players who may be on the cusp of making their first appearances with their respective country’s senior level national teams. Athletes must be born in 1990 or later to be eligible to compete.
