September 24, 2012, Victoria, BC (ISN) – Local kiteboarder Larry Dennis has become the first person to soar over the Ogden Point breakwater in Victoria’s outer harbour. He wore a video camera to tape the incredible feat. Have a look!

Many of us have no doubt strolled the Dallas Road bluffs and observed the daring kiteboarders doing their thing and cruisng over the waves and at times, being amazed at the “air time” they sometimes get on many of their jumps.

Well local kiteboarder Larry Dennis took that air time to another extreme back on Monday September 10th and used that air time to soar OVER the Ogden Point breakwater that protects Victoria’s outer harbour from wave activity.

Watch the Video:

Dennis told ISN that he has been planing on doing it for seven years, researching the best times and tides for doing so and that it all finally came together. He estimates that his height was at least 20 or more feet and that he was in the air for approximately 7 seconds.

Congratulations Larry on an amazing extreme sports feat!
