September 25, 2012, Langford, BC – The Westshore Rebels Football Club, Members of the British Columbia Junior football League, look to make it seven straight wins on Saturday afternoon as they take on the 3rd place Langley Rams at Bear Mountain Stadium.
Along with this being the Rebels final home game of the regular season, the Rebels will be reducing the price of student tickets to only $2.00 with all proceeds supporting Little Hannah and her battle with cancer (http://www.angelsforhannah.com/index.html).
The Rebels who currently sit alone in second place with a 6-1 record, face their toughest challenge since week one, as the play the 3rd place Rams, who have a record of 5-1-1. The Rams are coming off a 41-29 loss to the Vancouver Island Raiders. The Rebels are currently coming off their sixth straight win as they defeated the Chilliwack Huskers 33-3.
Rebel’s star running back Greg Morris currently leads the BCFC in touchdowns with 10, while Malcolm Williams of the Rams has 9 this season. Morris is also leading the BCFC in total rushing yards with 795, averaging over 10 yards per carry. Morris’s has over 200 yards on the next closest competitor who happens to be Daniel Xavier from the Rams.
Kickoff Saturday will be at 4:00PM at Bear Mountain Stadium. Tickets are available at the gate with adult tickets being only $12 and student tickets only $2.
