September 29, 2012, Campbell River, BC – Jake Stolz scored his first goal of the season and Michael Herringer turned aside 19 shots as the Victoria Cougars edged the Campbell River Storm 3-2 on Friday night.

Also scoring for the Cougars were David Marshall and Mark Walton.

Campbell River received both of its goals from Tyson Rennie.

Jordan Salas made 29 saves in a losing effort.

Victoria improved to 8-0-0-1 on the season while the Storm fell to 3-3-0-1.

Maxwell Crawford instigated a third period fight with Garrett Brandsma only to get bested by the Cougars’ forward.

Next game for the Victoria is Thursday, October 4 against the Oceanside Generals. Game time at the Archie Browning Sports Centre, located at 1151 Esquimalt Road, is 7:00 p.m.
