October 3, 2012, Victoria, BC  – Camosun College’s Jarred Callbeck (Victoria, BC) earned a second consecutive PACWEST Men’s Athlete of the Week Individual Title after a two-day low score of 143 (69, 74) in a weekend tournament.

Teammates Jared Hundza shot 145 (75, 70) tied for third place; Grant Maskiewich (76, 74) finished 11th; Kevin Walz (76, 75) finished tied for 12th; Kevin Bredy (75, 82) finished 22nd; and Brady Stead (78, 85) finished in 29th place.

“Jared has been a solid player for us this year as shown by his second win of the season. The strength of his game is from tee to green, hitting lots of greens in regulation” stated coach Randle, “If his putting gets going, we will see some really low scores out of him!”.

Callbeck has steadily moved up the leader board over the last three tournaments. He finished tied for 6th after the TRU Invitational at the Dunes (Kamloops). After the Kwantlen Invitational at Hazelmere (Surrey), he moved up one spot to tie for 5th overall. This past weekend, Callbech made the biggest jump as he now sits on top of the leader board with a three tournament low score of 434 (70, 75, 72, 74, 69, 74) a 1 stroke lead over UFV’s Darren Whitehouse.
