October 5, 2012, Victoria, BC (ISN) – The Victoria Baseball Club, Victoria’s franchise in the West Coast League, has announced that it will unveil its team name and logo on Friday, October 12th at a public press conference at Victoria’s Shark Club.

Team owner John McLean and General Manager Holly Jones are inviting fans to the unveiling of the Victoria Baseball Club’s official name and team logo. The public press conference will take place on Friday, October 12th at 11:30 am at the Shark Club Bar & Grill at the Sandman Hotel in Victoria.

“We were overwhelmed by the public response of more than 600 submissions in our “Name the Team” contest, so it is only fitting that fans come along and share in the fun and drama of this announcement,” said Jones.
The Shark Club is going all out for this event and will be helping to unveil the new logo by showcasing it on their 30 television screens. Waitresses will also be decked out in baseball attire and fans that wish to stay for lunch will be able to order a team-branded ballpark “smokie” off their lunch menu.
The Shark Club is located at 2852 Douglas Street in Victoria.
