October 6, 2012, Prince George, BC – The Kelowna Rockets earned a split of two games in Prince George on the weekend with a 7-5 win over the Cougars on Saturday night at the CN Centre in Prince George.

Rockets rookie Rourke Chartier scored twice, including his first Western Hockey League goal, while Myles Bell had a goal and three assists to lead the offense as the Rockets bounced back after losing 6-3 on Friday night.

The win improved Kelowna’s record to 3-3-1-0 while Prince George lost its first game in regulation time, and fell to 4-1-1-0.

Dylen McKinlay, Zach Franko, Jesse Lees and Damon Severson also scored while Colton Sissons added three assists in the game.

Goalie Jordon Cooke earned the win with the Rockets outshooting Prince George 36-27.

Kelowna returns home on Wednesday when it plays host to the Spokane Chiefs.
