October 6, 2012 – The Portland Winterhawks (4-3-0-0) fell 4-2 in Moose Jaw Saturday against the Warriors (3-3-0-0) as the team continued its road trip through the East Division.

Moose Jaw held a 2-0 lead after one period on goals by Torrin White and Sam Fioretti.

The Warriors got two early second period goals Jordan Wyton and Brayden Point to take a 4-0 lead, which would remain the score through the end of the period.

The Hawks got on the board in the third period when Brendan Leipsic scored a power play goal to cut the deficit to 4-1. Portland continued pressing, as Ty Rattie scored at the 17:24 mark to make it 4-2, but that was as close as the Hawks would get.
