Saskatoon Blades

October 11, 2012, Saskatoon, SK – The Saskatoon Blades have announced that 20 year old defenceman Connor Cox has been placed on waivers.

The Blades had to make the move prior to the WHL’s 20 year old deadline, which came at midnight Wednesday. WHL teams will now have a chance to claim Cox and if he goes unclaimed he will be considered a free agent free to join any WHL, OHL or QMJHL club.

The move was made necessary after the Blades acquired 20 year old veteran Adam Kambeitz on Monday night, leaving them with four 20 year old players overall.
